Sewer series...

I hope this message finds you well and excited about the latest developments in our church remodeling adventure! Phase Three has been quite the rollercoaster of demolition, surprises, and valuable lessons in wisdom—and we’re navigating it all with good spirits.

The week began with the bittersweet task of bidding farewell to KidCity as we know it. Many of us have cherished memories of that space, and while saying goodbye wasn’t easy, we’re excited about the fresh possibilities it brings to our KidCity community. Sometimes, making room for new beginnings means sweeping away the old, both literally and figuratively!

Just when we thought we’d seen it all, we were surprised with a sewer saga. And in the words of John Sanborn, “it couldn’t have come at a better time.” An amazing team sprang into action faster than you can say “plumber,” and before long, things were back on track. Kudos to those who helped clear out the soggy storage and fix the plumbing (it will be finalized by Tuesday 😊)—you’re the best!

In the midst of the chaos (and occasional funky smells), there have been plenty of opportunities to complain or even quit….but the mood has been totally positive and the work is getting done.
There are some great illustrations for our new sermon series from Proverbs. And even if you are not directly involved in a demo or construction project, wisdom is a non-negotiable for life. From handling finances to navigating relationships and everything in between, each decision—big or small—calls for a dose of God’s wisdom. After all, wisdom isn’t just about knowing what to do; it’s about knowing who to trust—our loving Father who’s always got our back.

This Sunday, we’re diving into Proverbs 1, where we’ll unpack the importance of the fear of the Lord as the bedrock of wisdom. It’s not about trembling in our boots, but about honoring God in all we do and seeking His wisdom in every decision. Let’s lean into this season of change with open hearts and minds, knowing that God’s plans for us are good and full of hope.

As we wrap up the demolition phase and set our sights on rebuilding, let’s continue to pray for wisdom and grace. Whether we’re swinging hammers or contemplating life’s big questions, let’s do it all with a spirit of joy and expectancy. Together, we’re shaping not just our church building, but our community and lives for God’s glory.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for your unwavering support. Stay tuned for more updates, laughs, and perhaps a few more unexpected twists as we journey onward together.

I sure hope you can attend on Sunday at 8:00, 9:15 (Full KidCity available), or 10:45 am (Full KidCity available), or you can watch the Livestream on YouTube (Like and Subscribe) or Facebook at 9:15 am. Additionally, we are also publishing our sermons on Spotify.

Have a great evening,
Troy
