Membership

WHY MEMBERSHIP

Membership is not a word that appears in Scripture, but it is a principle that is taught, a principle Jesus models – the principle of commitment. What makes someone a Member is their willingness to make a commitment to the local church body here at New Life. At New Life, we never ask for anything more than the Bible clearly teaches; we only expect our Members to do what the Bible expects every Christian to do.

We believe there are at least four great reasons to make the commitment of Membership:
Biblical – Christ is committed to His Bride, the Church; Membership shows a commitment to the church.
Cultural – Membership is an antidote to society and goes against the current of America’s appetite for consumer religion.
Practical – Membership defines who can be counted on; it identifies our family.
Personal – Membership produces spiritual growth by offering accountability through commitment to a specific church family.
