Beyond Campaign

Room to Grow. Space to Serve. A Place to Belong.

New Life CityChurch has a vision to be empowered by the gospel of Jesus to inspire authenticity, embody bravery, and join in God’s work to transform lives.
As we continue to grow and expand our ministries, we are taking a step forward in faith to renovate our building, so that our physical space better serves our mission to develop an authentic community that inspires people to know and follow Jesus through multiplying churches and ministries.
We are asking you to join us in a building campaign driven by our pillars of worship, community, mission, and generosity. Our new space will give us room to:

Beyond

Connect

Our updated café area will provide new opportunities for connection and community, before and after Sunday services, during weekday meetings, and throughout the rhythms of church life. We want this to be a space where relationships grow, visitors feel welcome, and meaningful conversations happen naturally.

Commit

The reconfigured auditorium and the addition of a mezzanine will give us more room to grow, making space for more people to participate in Sunday corporate worship and providing flexibility for ministries and events to flourish throughout the week. This is a key step toward deepening our collective commitment to Christ and His Church.

Collaborate

Expanded office and conference spaces will allow our growing staff, ministry leaders, and city partners to serve more effectively. These updates will help us collaborate with Kingdom partners in Kansas City and beyond—building a hub of gospel-centered mission and leadership development.

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and prayers of our church family throughout this building journey. What began as a $500,000 project has grown to a total estimated cost of $850,000. While this increase is more than we originally anticipated, it reflects both rising construction costs and some exciting additions to better serve our church and community, like raising the roof, expanding the coffee shop area, and making necessary upgrades to ensure a high-quality and lasting space.

Thanks to your faithful giving, we've already raised $600,000, which is an amazing testament to God's provision and your commitment. Even more encouraging, by God’s grace, we’ve also been able to pay down the principal of our mortgage, and now owe only $210,000 on the entire building. That means we’re trusting God to help us raise the remaining $250,000 to complete the project. We know this is a big step of faith, but we're confident that the investment will yield even greater opportunities for worship, connection, and outreach in the years to come.

Whether you're able to contribute financially or not, we ask that you continue to pray, both for the provision and the impact this project will have on our mission to love God, love people, and make disciples. Together, let's build something that points people to Jesus for generations to come.

Accomplishments

By God’s grace, and through your incredible generosity and support, we’ve already made significant progress in transforming our space for greater ministry impact. Here's what we've been able to accomplish so far:
  • 1,500 square feet of new usable space, including multiple new offices and balcony seating. (Valued at $375,000)
  • Nearly 2000 square feet of new storage space, helping us steward our resources more efficiently. (Valued at $180,000)
  • More than 6,000 square feet of fully updated space, improving the look, feel, and functionality of key ministry areas. (Valued at $900,000)
  • Expanded auditorium seating for approximately 80 additional people, increasing our capacity for Sunday worship and large events.
  • A beautiful new coffee shop that opens up to the sidewalk, welcoming both our church family and neighbors into intentional connection.
  • A fully updated sound system, including installed speakers throughout the building and outdoors, enhancing worship and communication across every area.
  • New TVs strategically placed throughout the building to aid in communication, teaching, and hospitality.
  • Updated bathrooms and refreshed Kid City spaces, improving the experience for families and children.
  • We now have six additional gathering spaces, separate from the auditorium, that can host groups ranging from 2 to 55 people creating flexible spaces for discipleship, meetings, prayer, and ministry throughout the week.
These updates are not just cosmetic, they are strategic. Each one has been made with our mission in mind: to develop an authentic community that inspires people to know and follow Jesus through worship, community, mission and generosity.
