Missions

Why missions is important?

At New Life CityChurch, we believe that fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ is our ultimate calling. We are passionate about sharing the love of Christ and making disciples of all nations. Through our missions program, we seek to partner with individuals and organizations around the world who share our passion for spreading the Gospel. These ministry partners play a vital role in our efforts to reach the nations, and we are committed to building strong relationships with them as we work together to advance God's Kingdom. We support a variety of initiatives, from providing clean water and basic needs in impoverished communities to training local pastors and sending out missionaries to unreached people groups. Our goal is to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel and to bring glory to God through our missions efforts.

Mission Partners

CRU

For many, life in the city offers only a bleak existence.  The bitter realities of human slavery, homelessness, neglect, and food insecurity plague the lives of countless men, women, and children in cities around the globe.  Although none of these issues are easy to solve, the love of Jesus compels us, followers of Jesus and kingdom citizens, to action.  Cru is partnering with hundreds of like-minded churches and passionate organizations in an effort to catalyze Gospel transformation and bring light to the darkest places of the city.

Neighbors Who Care

We know the mission field is not only oversees but in our own cities and neighborhoods. There are many vulnerable children and families in need of the gospel & support. We help victims of crime, families struggling through the foster care system and children in need by providing basic necessities for flourishing. We partner with the Care Portal KC and Kansas City Police Department for referrals.

International Missions Board

IMB's focus is on evangelism and church planting, as well as its commitment to serving people in need and working towards community development. IMB's partners with other organizations and churches around the world, and  emphasizes on training and equipping missionaries. They are funded through prayer, financial contributions, and volunteer opportunities. For more information, head over to their website below.

Lee & Tammi Bramlett

For more than a decade the Bramlett's lived in a village a few hundred miles from Cameroon, Africa. They labored to create an alphabet, teach the villagers to read and ultimately translate the Bible. When they arrived, few if any of the 40,000 villagers had ever heard of the name of Jesus. Now, more than 10,000 have become Christians. Although Lee and Tammi serve at New Life, they still play a vital role as spiritual leaders for the village.

Local & International Missions Trips

At New Life, we are passionate about serving our community and sharing the love of Christ with those around us. Each year, we organize a summer missions trip to Kansas City in July, where we work together to serve the needs of the city and spread the message of hope to those we meet.

During the summer mission, called For My City, we partner with local organizations and churches to provide practical assistance, such as food distribution, home repair, and community outreach. We also offer opportunities for prayer, counseling, and sharing the gospel message with those we serve.

In addition to our annual summer missions trip, we are also planning to organize short-term missions trips in the near future. These trips will provide opportunities for our members to experience firsthand the joys and challenges of cross-cultural ministry and to share their faith with others around the world.

We believe that missions is an integral part of our calling as followers of Christ, and we are committed to supporting and equipping our members for this important work. If you are interested in learning more about our missions trips or getting involved in our ministry, we invite you to contact us or join us for our next missions event.
