Who is it for?

The Development Academy is for followers of Jesus Christ looking for a next step of growth, maturity, and development to actively lead and carry out the vision God has given to New Life CityChurch.

How can I get involved?

We will meet on Saturdays, January through May and September through December starting at 7:30AM and ending by 9:00AM. You can join at anytime, but it is preferred at the beginning of the semester.

A little more information about the New Life Development Academy...

Theological
A New Life Elder will lead the class which consists of a video teaching from “For The Church Institute”,  and discussion and interaction time.

Practical
Each participant, during the application process, is placed into a practical "track." The possible tracks are Administration, Counseling, Evangelism and Teaching. The goal is to not only gain the theological information, but to be able to identify and use your gifts in a more practical way.

Meet the Leaders

The 4 tracks are Administration, Counseling, Evangelism and Teaching.

Troy Campbell

Teaching Track Leader
I enjoy the process of studying a passage of Scripture, reflecting on my own needs, spending time with people and building bridges for truth to be applied in our everyday lives. The NLDA provides a space for men and women to develop as followers of Jesus and Kingdom leaders to exercise their passions and grow in their gifts

Don Lewis

Counseling Track Leader
I enjoy helping people unravel the knotted ropes of their lives in one on one and group settings; which allows them to ask questions and receive answers specific to their lives which wouldn’t be possible in a traditional church service setting.

Lee Bramlett

Mission's Track Leader
I enjoy helping people grow in their skills and abilities to accomplish the purpose for which God has created them to be and do in His Mission. This will grow their passion for God’s Missional work and equip them to lean into their purpose and calling.

Mike Chirveno

Administration Track Leader
It’s been my privilege to serve the church family in finance, technology, planning, administration, leadership development, as well as teaching adult Bible classes. I want to see the future of the church have members of the NLDA to help with tasks inside the Church that ultimately allow the Gospel to spread.
