ADDICTING...

A few days ago, Leigh-Ann made a family favorite for Memorial day that is borderline addictive. It has the perfect amount of salt and sugar that makes my brain SCREAM for more….

…it’s her ridiculously amazing Caramel Corn…or Carmel Corn…Crack Corn…whatever you want to call it. There is a moment when my brain tells me that a little more Caramel Corn will be just the perfect amount to satisfy my cravings…and the more I focus on the scrumptious crunch, the more convinced I become that it will satisfy.

Here’s the deal….

Every handful cries out that it will satisfy my appetite….and it does for about 5 seconds and then I want another handful…and another handful….and another handful.

Finally, I tell myself, this is the last handful….and after doing this like fifteen times…I am finally so bloated and thirsty that I give it a break.

I might be exaggerating a little, however, this craving is not limited to a great batch of Caramel Corn, often we experience a craving for possessions. And similarly, we think just a little more stuff will fulfill us.

And it never does…

This Sunday, I am super excited to begin a new five-week sermon series entitled, “Get Rich Quick-Redefining Wealth.” We will study from Luke 12:13-21, 31-34 where Jesus teaches, that we don’t need more stuff, we need more of God.

I sure hope to see you at 8:00, 9:15 (Full KidCity available) or 10:45 am, or you can watch the Livestream on YouTube (Like and Subscribe) or Facebook at 10:45 am.

Have a great weekend,
Troy
