MORE POWER...AND GRATITUDE...
This past week, the girls have been out of town on a trip and so it has been just the “boys.” We are doing well, but we certainly miss the “girls.”
On Tuesday, they left early in the morning and so I decided to stop home mid-morning unannounced to check in on the guys.
To be honest, I kind of thought they might be watching TV or making messes….but boy, was I in for a surprise…
Dallas was in the back yard mowing the lawn and he had already finished the front. Isaiah was trimming the edges with the weed eater and Ian was blowing the sidewalk and alley clean.
My pessimism was rebuked…and I was bursting with gratitude. These guys sure blessed me with their thoughtful hard work.
As I was driving away, I snapped a pic of Ian riding his hoverboard while blowing off the grass clippings…GENIUS. He was able to harness the power of the hoverboard and blower to complete his part of the lawn work.

When it comes to our spiritual journey, we have been afforded the power we need to thrive in this life. This Sunday, Pastor Dave is going to continue our “Get Rich Quick” sermon series by encouraging us to experience MORE power, and “as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God” (2 Cor. 4:15).
Just as the boys harnessed the power tools to complete the task and leave me incredibly thankful, God enables us as vessels to be filled with His power which always increases our thanksgiving and ultimately gives the glory to God.
There is much more to learn from 2 Corinthians 4:7-18. I sure hope to see you at 8:00, 9:15 (Full KidCity available) or 10:45 am, or you can watch the Livestream on YouTube (Like and Subscribe) or Facebook at 10:45 am.
Have a great weekend,
Troy
