Revitalized...

After 22 weeks of setting up in borrowed spaces (or as we affectionately call them, Church Airbnb's), we finally had our first Sunday back in our newly remodeled home…and it felt GREAT.

Over the past several months, we’ve been on quite a journey. We’ve watched the roof come off (and thankfully, go back on, higher and stronger). We’ve poured concrete, torn up streets, fixed sewers, added walls, removed walls, and then added a few more walls just for good measure.

Our HVAC system no longer gives you frostbite in July, and our sound system doesn’t require divine intervention to hear the sermon.

That’s progress.

We built out new offices, upgraded Kid City for our fastest growing generation at New Life…I think there is something here in the water ?.  We’ve also added a coffee shop (because let’s be honest, coffee is second to the ministry of the Holy Spirit…I’m Jokin’), and made space for 80 more people to worship with us. It’s been loud, messy, a little dusty and completely worth it.

But here’s what I want you to hear: this isn’t the finish line.

We didn’t go through all of this just to settle in and get comfortable. God didn’t bring us back home so we could stay home. He brought us back to launch out again on mission.

This building is a tool, not a trophy.

And with this in mind, I sure hope you will be able to join us on Sunday as Pastor Dave will continue our series on missions with a sermon titled, “The Gospel Advances Despite Suffering,” from Acts 8:1–8 and 2 Corinthians 5:14–21. It's a reminder that even when the church is scattered, persecuted, or pushed outside its comfort zone, the message of Jesus keeps moving forward.

And we’re part of that movement.

I hope to see you on Sunday in our NEWLY REMODELED SPACE AT 1717 McGee, ready to worship, celebrate god’s faithfulness, and take our next steps. Services are at 8:00, 9:15 (Full KidCity available), or 10:45 am (Full KidCity available), or you can watch the Livestream on YouTube (Like and Subscribe) or on our New Life website at 9:15 am.

I’m so glad we’re home…but we’re not staying put,

Troy

P.S. Men’s breakfast tomorrow at 9 am. I’m looking forward to a great meal and leading a discussion about God’s goodness amidst suffering.
P.P.S. We would LOVE for you to follow us on Socials and even share an invite with your followers ?: Facebook, YouTube, Instagram.
