Troy Campbell
Lead Pastor/Teaching Elder

"Life isn't about me. It's about loving God and serving others."
A Little More About Troy
For Troy Campbell, ministry isn’t just about preaching—it’s about meeting people where they are and helping them take their next step toward Jesus. As Lead Pastor of New Life City Church, his greatest joy is walking alongside others, listening to their stories, and reminding them that God’s plans for them are far greater than they could ever imagine.
Troy’s leadership is shaped by deep relationships. He holds tightly to 1 Thessalonians 2:8, believing that sharing the gospel means sharing life—investing in people, leading shoulder to shoulder, and creating a church where both leaders and members grow in health and faith together.
Originally from St. Cloud, Minnesota, Troy grew up in a home filled with love for Jesus. His early faith led him to pursue biblical studies, and over the years, he has served in roles that have shaped his ability to lead with both conviction and compassion. In 2007, he and his wife, Leigh-Ann, alongside a small group of risk-takers, planted New Life City Church with a vision for a diverse, gospel-centered community in the heart of Kansas City.
Outside of ministry, Troy is happiest when he’s with his family—whether watching his kids play soccer, mountain biking at Swope Park, or simply drinking coffee on the front porch with Leigh-Ann. And if you ever need to find him on a day off, there’s a good chance he’s somewhere between a Costco run and a soccer game, making the most of the life God has given him.
