Spiritual Wellness

At New Life CityChurch, we believe spiritual growth is more than an event or one time experience, it is a life-long journey. Since the very beginning, our heart has been to develop an authentic community that is continually moving closer to Jesus. While each person’s pace and season of life may look different, our prayer is that, over time, we each grow closet to Jesus.

Spiritual Wellness is a once-a-year opportunity for every member of New Life to pause, reflect, and grow deeper in their relationship with God and others. It’s also a time to dream about what God might have in store for you in the year ahead. Around the anniversary of your membership, we’ll reach out to schedule a 45-minute to one-hour meeting at a time that works for you.

The objective of Spiritual Wellness is to nudge forward your spiritual growth and increase your contribution to our authentic community that inspires people to know and follow Jesus through multiplying churches and ministries.
 
Through our Spiritual Growth Pathway, we’ll walk alongside you as you grow from being a disciple who is discipled to becoming a disciple who makes disciples. It’s about equipping and empowering you to live out your faith and help others do the same.

This year, we’re exploring how each of us connects with God uniquely. One way we’re doing this is by introducing Spiritual Pathways, inspired by Gary Thomas. These pathways reflect the unique ways God has created each of us to connect with Him. Understanding your spiritual pathway can help you grow deeper in your faith and experience God in new and meaningful ways.

We’re excited to walk this journey with you, discovering together the fullness of joy that comes from living in God’s presence and walking the path of life He has set before us.

What if you could discover new ways to connect with God and grow spiritually? That’s what our Spiritual Wellness Meetings are all about. A few weeks before your New Life CityChurch Membership anniversary, one of our pastoral care providers will reach out to set up a time to meet with you.

These meetings are a chance to pause, reflect, and refocus. Life can get busy, and it’s easy to feel disconnected. We want to hear your thoughts, answer your questions, and share tools to help you grow in your faith, like the Nine Sacred Pathways Diagnostic. This resource helps you uncover how your unique personality and experiences shape your connection with God—and how you can take your next steps with Him.

This isn’t about checking a box or adding something to your to-do list. It’s about building a stronger relationship with God. Let’s grow together as a church family and lean into the purpose God has made you to fulfill.

In the appropriate month, you will receive an email to schedule your Spiritual Wellness meeting. Along with this email, we’ll provide a link to the Spiritual Pathways Diagnostic. After completing the diagnostic, you’ll be able to see your results immediately.

When you come in for your meeting, we’ll have the opportunity to discuss your results, explore the unique ways you’re wired for relationship with God, and talk through resources designed to support your spiritual growth. We look forward to walking alongside you on your journey!

During this meeting, you set the agenda. Whether it's something light like your favorite coffee or something more personal like a deeply confidential relationship question, we're here to listen. If you want to discuss your Spiritual Pathways Diagnostic results or explore any resources that might help you on your spiritual journey, we’re ready for that too.

We’ll start by catching up on your life and giving you space to ask any questions you may have. This is your time, and we're here to support you in whatever way you need.

Imagine what could happen if every person in our community committed to spending time with Jesus daily and gathered regularly with others—both in small groups and as part of the larger church body.

For the next year, we challenge you to:

• Spend time with Jesus every day.
• Gather with the church once a week.
• Grow closer as a community once a week.
• Build trusting relationships with non-believers by serving through New Life or in your neighborhood, city, or the world once a month.
