Missions

"God’s love knows no borders, and neither should our mission."
A Little More About Ashley
For Ashley Boroughs, missions aren’t just about going places—they’re about stepping into people’s lives, sharing in their burdens, and pointing them to the hope and healing found in Christ. Whether overseas or here in Kansas City, her passion is seeing people experience the freedom, love, and redemption she has found in Jesus.
Ashley’s heart for ministry was shaped early, especially through mission trips in college that took her across Southeast Asia, Central America, and Europe. Seeing firsthand the need for the gospel in places where it had never been heard gave her a deep conviction to go, send, and mobilize others. That calling led her to serve in girls’ ministry, college ministry, and international missions—always with a focus on walking alongside people in their hardest moments. Today, as a counselor, that same passion drives her: to help carry the weight of another person’s story, even for just a little while.
At New Life City Church, Ashley has served in Kids City, led a connect group with her husband, and now leads the Missions Team, helping others step into the work of making Christ known.
Outside of ministry, Ashley finds joy in simple things—traveling, good memoirs (especially on audiobooks), and running with her husband, Will. As she and Will walk through the adoption process to bring home their child from India, they’re praying 2025 will be the year their family grows.
