AMAZON PALLET...

Several months ago, Dallas learned about people who buy pallets of returned goods from Amazon and then resell them on Facebook Marketplace or eBay. He has been sending me links to buy a pallet and to be honest, I’ve been too busy to pursue it.

I loved the idea and also the ingenuity, but most of the projects our kids take on become more work for me…

So, a few days ago, a friend sent me a link to an auction. It was later in the evening, and most of the kids were already in bed, so I set up an account and bid on about 10 pallets. The next day, we won 3 pallets for a grand total of $78.

And….we actually got some pretty good stuff… a new toddler bed mattress…a baby gate…a table…picture frames, you name it….we might have it…some Halloween costumes, pots and pans, a Tonneau cover and an electric blanket covered in pet hair.

Our SUV was packed with stuff!
This is interesting since this sermon series is about stuff.

My guess is we will make some money, but it will be a lot of work.

To be honest, I am not looking forward to dividing the proceeds between five kids…in fact, I’m already praying for the wisdom of Solomon when it comes to breaking up the arguments.

Leigh-Ann and I hope to use this to teach our kids the value of hard work, money, and the potential for possessions to become divisive or to plant seeds for a lifetime of good works.

A quicker way to learn these lessons would be to come on Sunday when I will continue our “Get rich quick” series with a sermon from 1 Timothy 6:6-10, 17-19 about being rich in contentment and good works.

I sure hope to see you at 8:00, 9:15 (Full KidCity available) or 10:45 am, or you can watch the Livestream on YouTube (Like and Subscribe) or Facebook at 10:45 am.

Have a great weekend,
Troy
