LISTEN TO OUR YOUTH LEADERS

Timothy Jansen – Youth Director of New Life CityChurch

I believe the Lord has something powerful for the next generation. I want to be a part of that, which is why I decided to begin intentionally working with the youth. I want to see them flourish in the Lord and live a life that reflects who He is. I want to see them hungry for the Word of God and persistent in the place of prayer. The Lord is going to use these young ones to impact many. I want to help equip them to do just that.

Luke Johnson

Teenage years are perhaps the most formative and seminal in one’s life; providing council during these trying times is a great privilege and opportunity to serve the Kingdom. As it says in Proverbs 22:6, start youth off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

Luke has been attending NLCC for almost 3 years. He works in health technology full-time, recently got married in middle of the COVID pandemic (wife named Kaylee and pup named Ivy), and enjoys working w/ underserved populations to increase their access to resources and love of the Lord.

Matt Collier

I want to impact the next generation to love others well, serve joyfully for the Lord and to know God deeply in their hearts. The youth of today will become the future church and it is vastly important to raise them on sound biblical principles. I remember being a kid and being in youth group – what an impact that had for me. I love the ability to give back to kids now, remembering all that my leaders had done for me.

Amanda Shrout

Growing up in the church, I always wanted someone who would not only walk through my Christian journey with me, but also just do life with me. That is what I want to be for these youth. I want to walk with them through the ups and downs of life, grow them to be leaders, and point them to Jesus.

Dani Paup

I am passionate about seeing young people discover and become who God wants them to be. I want to empower youth to live radical lives and be transformed through Gods word. I have been attending NLCC for over 4 years. I work as the Academic Advisor at Teen Challenge-Kansas City Girls Academy. I enjoy traveling, coffee and country dancing. I am also training for my 2nd Triathlon!
