Transport and arrival

Transport and arrival

Leigh-Ann and I are similar in many ways, but we are also quite different. I live in organized chaos…it would appear that my spaces look like a mess, but I know the location of everything I need. Leigh-Ann on the other hand keeps everything organized to the point where it actually looks good and makes sense.

Another way we differ is I like to pack as many things into an hour as possible and running a few minutes late can be a badge of honor. Leigh-Ann on the other hand, however, likes to leave with plenty of time to spare so there is no stress upon arrival.

When it comes to our transportation from place to place we have similarities and differences. We are similar in that we like to get there fast. However, we are different in our preferred forms of transportation. I love cars, scooters, bikes, boats, running, tubing, flying, skating, buses, and trains…Leigh-Ann loves cars, airplanes, and subways…most other forms of transportation she only takes to be a good sport.

This is one of the many reasons she is an incredible wife and mom.

Ultimately when it comes to our journey, it doesn’t really matter how we get to where we are going, as long as we get there when expected.

This Sunday, I look forward to sharing about our journey of faith from the story of Thomas meeting Jesus after His resurrection. The journey Thomas took to faith in Jesus was filled with doubt and denial and even negotiation, however, he came to faith in Jesus, and in the end, that’s all that mattered.

There is so much more to share on Sunday from John 20:24-31 in our sermon series about the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus.

This Sunday is also Mothers Day…of course, both Leigh-Ann and my mom are amazing people who would do anything for those they love. They sacrifice so much for their kids and grandkids and for this reason they deserve much more than a day for us to share our appreciation. At New Life, we know Mothers ay can be difficult for some, however, it’s also important for us to show our appreciation for mothers. We hope whether this is a tough day or a day that you look forward to, we can support mothers together.

We will have a photographer taking photos after the second and third services in the vow exchange. We will also offer all moms who attend our services a special gift as a token of our gratitude.

I sure hope to see you all at 8:00, 9:15 (Full KidCity available) or 10:45 am, or you can watch the Livestream on YouTube (Like and Subscribe) or Facebook at 10:45 am.
